2005 Gypsy Mare
Ballacolla x Slievenamon
I had to think long and hard about selling Ballinasloe. I really like this mare. She is big, hairy and easy going. Nothing phases her. But we are in a severe drought in TX and I have to thin the herd to be able to afford hay for the winter.
She has given us two foals - Fantastic Quinn and the stunning filly, Nova. She is easy to handle and foals easily. 'Sloe is unbroke, but is very easy going and would be easy to put under saddle.
This is a very unique mare. Not only is she one of the tallest mares in the US, standing at a solid 15.3hh, her sire was Slievenamon, who died all too soon before making his mark in the USA. This is a great and unique bloodline to add to any breeding program.
Ballinasloe is currently open but for those of you up north, she can still be bred to Aislan. If you are down south, we can breed her in Novemeber for an October baby. We are switiching our breeding season to the fall since our summers are just brutal on the foals. If you choose to wait until next year, I will include the free breeding to Aislan with 1 free collection and shipping. You will only have to pay your vet!
