Grace, Power, Beauty
oh, and a sense of humour!

We love our Friesians dearly, but time contstraints have forced me to put our Friesian breeding program on hold. Between trying to find time to show the gypsies, manage the farm, and work with the wildlife rescue especially in the spring months, I was being run ragged. I felt that both Jytske and Mya were not going to meet their full potential with us and it was with great thought that we made the decision to sell our lovely mares so that they could be appreciated and used to their full potential. Many people thought we should just cross them with our Gypsy stallion, but I have too much respect for the breed as well as the Dutch Registry which does not allow for cross breeding. I am a strong proponenet of this policy and want the best for my girls.
Gerbrich is MY mare and will never go anywhere (or more to the point, I am HER person...) So we will always be together!
I hope that we can go back to our original plans of breeding the Friesians in the future.
Gerbrich - Friesian Mare
Gerbrich is an impressive mare, standing 16.3hh. She is a beautiful mover, with three elastic gaits. She competed in the Netherlands at Z2 (third level) and scored well. We had hopes to breed her but have been unsuccessful. Gerbrich is such a fantastic Schoolmaster that I will never give her up and will continue to ride and train on her.
Gerbrich has found her new role in life as part of the Wildskye Productions Bird of Prey Show at the Texas Renaissance Festival! She is a great performer and allows us to fly birds to and from her. She knows her part better than I do and never misses a mark. Who knew that I had Thesbian for a Friesian!
