Mya

Mya is an elegant and tall mare. She measured a solid 1.63m (16H) at her inspection as a 3 1/2 year old and is expected to reach at least 16.1h when she is finished growing.

Mya is a 2004 filly out of our mare Gerbrich (Rietse x Arent) and by Wobke 403 (Fetse 349 x Gaije). Wobke was recently approved on offspring. Mya has a low inbreeding coefficient of 1.95%. Wobke is known for producing excellent riding Friesians.

This filly is the more modern type Friesian, like her mother, and has three long, forward moving gaits. Mya has the potential to become an impressive dressage horse. She is well started walk, trot, canter and she is w now with a trainer who is giving her a good foundation in dressage as well as taking her to different places (trails and obstacle courses!) She is very quiet and willing, stands nicely for a bath, farrier, tacking up. Well ground broke.

Mya is reluctantly for sale. I do so much more driving and less dressage that I just don't have the time for her (hence her late start).

This video was made in the beginning of October after only 3 weeks backed. She was excellently started by our horse trainer, Mark Sleeper. He gives our babies a great foundation. They are supple, attentive and relaxed when they move on. Check back for a new video soon!
